Cornish Cottage is a charming 400 year-old converted farmhouse with thick stone walls and beamed ceilings, surrounded by walled and fenced mature gardens, situated in the quiet country hamlet of Bodieve. The cottage is well equipped and attractively furnished throughout. There are lawns front and rear. and a sunny south-west facing patio.
We are a few miles from the sandy beaches of Rock, Daymer Bay the surfing beach at Polzeath and the fishing harbour of Padstow. The location is ideal for cycling (Camel Trail), surfing, safe bathing, walking, rambling, coastal path walking.
There are parking spaces for 2 cars in front of the cottage, adjacent to a small green with traditional red telephone box, situated in a quiet crescent.
Wadebridge, the old market town with its medieval bridge, offers excellent shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, a cinema and library, just 1 mile from the cottage. The Leisure Centre, with large indoor swimming pool, is 5 minutes walk away.
Accommodation: The interior is very cosy, equipped like a private home with all modern appliances and with excellent beds, matresses & bedding.
Downstairs - Lounge: with woodburner built into the fireplace, exposed beams, two seater settee and three seater sofa bed; colour TV.
This room leads into the Kitchen / Diner: a very cosy room with East and West facing windows; electric cooker, microwave, small fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster; beamed ceiling.
Stable door leading to the Outhouse (3 steps up into the rockery garden) with second toilet, washing machine and tumbler dryer, fridge freezer.
Upstairs - Bedroom 1: Double aspect windows, king size bed, built-in wardrobe, washbasin, chest of drawers.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds, built-in wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: Full size bunkbed.
Bathroom: white bathroom suite with power shower into bath, toilet, immersion heater.
Outside - Cornish Cottage is surrounded by well established walled gardens, with lawns front and rear, sunny, south facing patio with small ornamental pond, garden table and chairs. The house is set in a very friendly Cornish neighbourhood.
Availability - All year round.
Booking - Saturday to Saturday (arrival no earlier than 3pm - departure no later than 11am, unless otherwise arranged).
A deposit of 1/3 is required on booking with the balance due 28 days or less before the arrival.
A safety deposit of £150 is payable together with the balance cheque. This money is refundable after inspection of the cottage on the day of departure.
Rates : From £250 to £650 per week.
Smoking is not permitted. Sorry, no pets.
Maximum of 5 people.
